Valcartier, July 15, 2007 – Corporal Patrick Vezina and his girlfriend Marie-Josee Gagnon share an emotional moment at the CFB Valcartier as Vezina is about to leave on his way to the airport for his departure to Afghanistan July 15, 2007. A first group of about 200 soldiers fly out from Quebec to Afghanistan to replace their colleagues in security and reconstruction efforts.
