Bombardier 415 covered with snow

Bombardier 415A Bombardier 415 (formerly Canadair CL-415) of the A Société de protection des forêts contre le feu (SOPFEU) lies in the snow at the Quebec City airport. The 415 is a Canadian amphibious aircraft purpose-built as a water bomber. It is the only aircraft designed and built specifically for aerial firefighting and is based on the company’s CL-215. It is marketed in the USA as the Superscooper.

  1. 1st: THere is no Bombardier 415 nor Canadair CL-415. Bombardier did built this aircraft as a CL-2T, a turbine version of the Canadair CL-215.
2nd: These aircraft belongs to the Quebec Gouvernment, not the Société de protection des forêts contre le feu (SOPFEU). Sopfeu is a custommer of the GVT.
3rd: there are a lot of aircraft designed for firefighting but few are scooping airpalnes:
Ilyushin-76TD, Air Tractor 802F “Fire Boss etc
