Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier, January 4, 2007 – A worker gives a last minute rush to finish the construction of the Ice Hotel in Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier, 50 km north of Quebec City. The ice hotel, the only one in North America, is set to open Friday, (January 5) despite a forecasted temperature of 8 to 9 degrees. The hotel has a wedding chapel, a bar with vodka served in ice glasses, and a many ice sculptures.
